Last week the boys had their Pre-school Field Trip to the Zoo! It was an exhausting day, but the perfect Zoo Day! Breezy, not too hot and all of God's creatures! The boys were especially excited that Jason got to go too! :)

The boys got to ride the Caroseul as part of their ticket. Jacob picked the tiger. He loved it!

Rylan picked the owls on a log. That was a surprise choice! Miss Monica was AWESOME! She was so good to talk to Rylan and Jacob.

Here's our family with the giraffes! I think we cover them up, but there was a whole family of giraffes complete with a baby!

The baby elephant was a highlight of the day! There were actually 2 babies...which of course got named Rylan Elephant and Jacob Elephant for the day! The mamas fed the babies palm leaves. The boys made the connection to Jesus' Triumphiant Entry into Jerusalem and could not believe that elephants ate the same leaves as Jesus' donkey walked on.

My two little monkeys with a little monkey! They really liked touring the primate area. It is usually not my favorite part, but today the monkeys were all putting on a good show.

Miss Maria and Miss Monica...the teachers assigned to the boys for this trip.

Lambert was taking a nap!

Our first and last stop was the lion area. The male lion was sprawled out sun-bathing! It was funny! Rylan was disappointed that he did not roar or talk back to him.

All in all, it was a great day! It was fun for us to watch the boys interact with the other kids at lunch. Made me get a little teary-eyed! Zoo Days are some of the best days ever!
