A Little Yard Work

It is finally getting to be warm here and it was time to clean up the winter leaves in the yard.  Jason and the boys went outside and got busy.  It was so cute to see the boys helping and really doing a great job.
The teamwork was wonderful.  They really had fun.  I think Jason will have a great team for yard work for many years to come!

Search for Happiness

The first week of March, our congregation hosted a Gospel Meeting, In Search of Happiness.  Eric Owens came and presented several very powerful messages.  The Saturday before it started we had an all-day Kick-Off party.  It was SO much fun!  There were several classes for adults, Bible Hour for kids, family games, crafts for the kids and a big burger lunch.

I was in charge of the 4 craft rooms, so I got to see the boys come through and have fun crafting.  Here they are making a happiness photo frame.  Jacob put a photo from Rock-n-Roller Coaster in his and Rylan put a photo of him dueling Darth Vader.
They also got to make stained glass windows.  They glued tissue paper onto transparencies.  They looked really pretty and are now hanging in the dining room.
We had a great lunch of burger, hot dogs, cookies and chips.  It was fun to get to visit with everyone!
The last craft I got a photo of was a popsicle stick cross.  GPop helped them do this craft.  He had as much fun as they did!
Overall it was a wonderful kick-off for an incredible week!

Star Wars Morsels

One morning Jacob got up and got busy building!  He got out the large lacing beads (AKA morsels) and started making scenes from Star Wars.  This scene is Yoda vs. Palpatine.  I loved his creativity!

Gayle's Wedding

On February 16th, one of my dearest high school friends got married!  It was a lovely ceremony and I am so happy for Gayle.  We met in 1993 and were roomies at church camp.  We both loved Charles Barkley and the Brady Bunch.  A deep friendship was born!  We spent hours watching Friends, making scrapbooks and laughing until we cried.  It was so wonderful to share in this special day in Gayle's life!!
Gayle's son, Hunter and her dad's best friend, Ben, walked her down the aisle.  She looked radiant!
 The yummy cakes!!!
 The happy couple!!
Me and my date!  Jacob was sick, so Jason stayed home with him.  Rylan and I had a wonderful time.  He is a perfect date!  :)
 Friends forever!

Happy Valentine's Day

I don't know what happened to Valentine's Day, but this is all I can find!  I was off work that day, and was in a fender bender that morning.  It was very minor, but it still shook me up a bit.  However, we had promised the boys that we would bring them lunch from Schlotzsky's and then I was suppossed to help with Jacob's Valentine sundae party.  So we rushed up to the school and ate lunch with the boys and partied with them too.  I went to Rylan's classroom for a few minutes and the other room mom took this photo at Rylan's party.  It was fun!!!

That night we had a a heart-shpaed pizza.  Jason gave me a money to go buy new YellowBox flip flops - he knows exactly how to say "I love you!"  It was a low-key holiday, but wonderful none the less!
