6th BD Party

For their sixth birthday party, the boys could not decide on a theme!  At first it was sports, but I said it was entirley too hot to have an all-outside party in August in TX.  Then they hashed Texas Revolution or army or... Finally they settled on Super Heroes, thanks to watching The Incredibles for the first time!
I bought a printable pack off of Etsy for the first time and LOVED it!  It made everything match without stressing out and was so easy to print and cut!  I will definitely be doing this for every other party we have!!! This was the book sign-in table.  Rylan got a Spiderman book and Jacob was an Avengers Look and Find.

We cupcakes this year, per the boys request!  The ones with sprinkles were yellow cake and the ones without sprinkles were chocolate cake.  THey were delicious and a big hit!
One of the games was to find the power stones in the spooky dark cave... they used glow sticks to find the stones (foil wrapped candy).  This was a HUGE hit with all the boys!
Jason had the idea to hang bats and spiders in the cave to make it extra spooky.  LOVE!
I've never wrapped water bottles before, but it was on the etsy package, so I did.  They turned out to be one of my favorite things! hahaha
Rylan was watching for cars to pull up!
Jacob anxiously waiting too..
As the kids arrived, they decorate capes and got masks.  This was SUPER fun and the boys all looked so cute as super heroes.  Oh, did I mention this was our first "boys only" party?  Momma really missed her momma friends and their daughters...

Lightning Bolt (AKA Rylan)
Another game was throwing gernades into the washer boards.  Lots of fun!

This was when I told the kids about the cave... I love their expressions!

Each super hero got a pom pom shooter.  I printed pictures of cartoon villians and hung them up on the wall.  Then the supers used the pom poms to get the bad guys!

One of the last things was protecting Smithtroplois.  Jason spent several nights making this box town.  There were about 20 more boxes, but this was the best photo taken...

After a pinata, cake and presents, we were done.  It was such a fun day!

On their real BD, 3 days later, we went to the park for our yearly BD photos... Here's my 6 year old Rylan!
 And Jacob...

I still cannot believe my babies are 6... now to blog about starting Kindergarten...
