Our Favorite Outing Spot

We have been itching to get back to the Children's Museum for quite some time, but with all the health issues, it just kept getting pushed back later and later.  Today was the day and the boys were SO excited!!! The first stop for Rylan was the "lookers."  I don't know what they are really called, but he loves them.  They are upstairs and you look through them to see other parts of the museum.  They are cool.
A new thing was this vibrating table.  It was supposed to simulate an earthquake.  You built several buildings and they turned the table on and saw if your buildings would be able to withstand the earthquake.  LOADS of fun!
We love getting on the phones, but never took a photo of Phone Man.  ISn't he cool???
Once again, we stayed here for about 25 minutes!  It was a nice calm, field trip free day and the boys could not have been more happy about it!  This geometry table teaches so much but you don't even realize it! :)

After hundreds of ball rolls, we moved the wooden blocks and they had to figure out the new angles.  Awesome!

This was the first time they did the rock climbing wall.  Jacob went 8 feet and Rylan went 13 feet!  He thought he was King of the World! :)
This surfing thing was new too.  You stand on the surfboard and see how long you can stay on.  On the big screen are big waves.  It was really neat!
Then we went to math world... my fave place!  Rylan gets obsessed with this game.  You have to put the tiles in number order, but the numbers are in code.  Super cool!

We were soooooooo glad that Granna could go with us today!!!
Rylan also liked this battery station... you had to figure out the fractional pieces to make a whole circut and then it would light up.
Jacob and Granna played this game over and over.  TO play you can either push one or two dragons forward.  The goal is NOT to push the red dragon forward.  Lots of good math skills!
After our $40 lunch of turkey sandwiches... we went outside.  The boys each built several boats to go down the river area.

After the boat fun, it was time for the FLow Works... AKA time to get soaked!

Rylan was SO excited because he was sopping wet at the end...
I'd like to introduce you to Jacob Blart, Mall Cop...
We did not have much time left, but we HAD to go to Kidtropolis!
Our 3 stops were the Bike Shop, Restaurant and HEB.  TOday they got to scan their own shopping baskets!  How fun!!!

After this day we are already counting the days until we go back!  Thanks Children's Museum for another wonderful experience!!!

I really need to take the girls back to the museum. we renewed our membership in October and haven't been since. I'm nervous about going during the week since I've only ever been on Saturdays.
