Over Christmas Jason and I decided to take the plunge and sign up for FPU. It has been the BEST thing we have done as a couple! We are about 6 weeks in and have 6 more weeks to go. Each week we go watch an hour long video, then we go to small groups for discussion and tips. It has been such a great tool to open discussions about money and planning for the future that we did not even know we needed to be having! hahaha We are both a little on the nerd-y side and have had a blast making our budget each paycheck. We are solely on the envelope system. We cut up our last credit card - all the others were cut after we attended Dave's 1-day seminar about 2 years ago. We've got a plan to be debt-free in about a year. We are making better choices - like not eating out as much and not impulsively buying stuff (mostly me!). Not only has it been good for money talks, but it also gives us 30 minutes alone in the car once a week to chat about non-money things. Thank you Dave for changing our family tree and teaching us how to live like no one else!!!
