I'm telling you... we love SPace Center Houston! On a rainy afternoon that Jason was off, we headed over for some out of this world fun! Jacob's first stop was the helmets. All 4 of us took the risk of getting lice and wore all 4 helmets each. FUN! (and no lice!)

Then the boys conned Jason into trying the manned space unit practice game. He did pretty good!

This is what the manned space unit really looks like... From what I understand, the astronauts used it thether-free from the shuttle to make repairs and do other mission stuff.

Then we did Rylan's favorite thing - the mock shuttle front. Notice that 5 year old fingers can in fact squeeze under the protective plexiglass to touch some buttons...

I sure do love this man!

And we HAD to stand where the wheels come down. It was really cool to look up inside at all the parts. Those engineers were some really smart dudes (and dudettes) to create a shuttle. Too bad the program ended...

We also played for 45 minutes on the playscape before dashing in the pouring rain to our car. The boys thought it was hilarious that some girls screamed in the rain. They could not believe someone would be afraid of rain! hee hee
