SOAP

This summer has been tricky for our Bible Study group. So many trips that I think this photo is the only time we were all together all summer! However, we did not want to stop meeting to pray and study the BEST book ever written, the Bible. So we decided not to pick a study book and to only study God's Word. Holly saw this blog (which I LOVE now too!) and we have adopted their SOAP method of studying scripture. Each week we are taking a book of the Bible and doing SOAP for each chapter. SOAP stands for Standout scriptures, Observations, Applications and Prayer. It has been so refreshing to DIG on our own and help each other make connections to other verses. With the craziness of having up to 9 kids running around while we are discussing the book, this method has been great. In fact, we are going to keep it up for a while longer. Hope that SOAP will be a blessing to you too!
