Birthday Celebration Round 1 - LegoLand

We were so excited to have our grandparents and cousin BD outing to the new LegoLand in Grapevine. It was perfect and the kids L-O-V-E-D it!!!
When we first walked up and saw the Mavs banner, the boys were sold! Then the tiny Mavs were icing on the cake! Too bad you could not buy those little Mav players.
Thankfully we pre-bought our tickets. This was a MUST! The line was horrible to buy tickets. They keep the numbers allowed inside very strict, which was nice so it wasn't too crowded.
When you first walk in there was a "scientist" who taught the kids how to make legos. Rylan was picked to press the giant button to cut the bricks into a mold.
Then Jacob was picked to turn the wheel to paint the bricks! They both did a great job and felt extra special to have a job on stage!

Then you rode the shoot-em-up game. The boys LOVED it! You were protecting the kingdom and shooting all the bad creatures with a laser gun.

Ahhhhhahhhhhhh!!! DIRK!!! Made out of Legos!!! Oh the squeals!!! Rylan was already on the playscape, but Jacob and Jason made a bee-line for the lifesize Dirk! It was awesome!!!
This is Jacob's foot next to Dirk's REAL shoe!
And Jason's foot...
Jacob was so excited to see the real Mav shorts and uniform. He could not believe that he barely would come to Dirk's waist.
Rylan was still on the playscape and the line for Dirk was crowded...so here are 3 of us!
DDDDDDIIIIIIIIRRRRRRKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!
Finally, Rylan's foot by Dirk's!
Rylan was so excited that they even put his hurt finger on Dirk.

Then we went to the 4D movie. It was GREAT! The kids all reached, jumped and squealed through the whole thing!

Back to the playscape.. Jacob was NOT going to go in. Finally after about 10 minutes of watching Evan and Rylan go up and down the firefighter's area and building with the HUGE legos, he got brave and went in. Then we could hardly get them out! :)
MiniLand... This was cool! There were all the famous sights of DFW built with LEgos... Reunion Tower, AAC, Ballpark at Arlington, Southfork Ranch, Cowboys Stadium, Dealey Plaza and Book Depository and more. It was so neat!!!
We ate lunch at LegoLand. The sandwiches were really good!
Then we went to the Duplo building area. I think the boys could have stayed here for hours! Here is Rylan with Grandma by the cute elephant!
And the huge giraffe!
Evan had fun building cars and racing them down the track.

Jacob and Daddy worked very intently on the world's tallest tower!

Grandpa and Evan on the other ride. YOu peddled as fast as you could and it went higher and higher. Mommy and Jacob rode and Daddy and Rylan rode. It was super fun!
Then Evan found the Princess area! She gave a fabulous concert!!!
Justin and Evan... so sweet!
After Grandma, Grandpa, Evan and Justin left, we stayed a little longer to do the other parts. The boys LOVED building and racing the cars. They did this for almost an hour!!!

After buying our first real Lego set at the gift shop and we stopped by Buzz for some photos.
It was a great BD outing and we hope to go back soon!!!
