Way back in 1989, I started liking the Detroit Pistons. When they went to the NBA Finals, I created a (pitiful) notebook paper/braded folder scrapbook of clippings from the Houston paper. The boys found these old scrapbooks a few weeks back and the seed was planted to create a Mavs scrapbook. So over the course of 3 days we spent about 10 hours, printing, cutting, drawing and gluing our own Mavs scrapbooks! The boys are hard at work!
Rylan wanted to make a Dirk only scrapbook. He printed dozens of Dirk photos and was very meticulious about cutting and gluing the photos. He also got some good handwriting practice! Rylan did not want his in a folder, so we stapled about 20 pieces of paper together. After he finished his Dirk only book, he started on a team book.
Jacob is thrilled to be making something Mavs! His green folder book has a team photo on the back and a logo on the front. He cut and cut and cut photos! He also got some good handwriting practice!
Love the boots! We are in TX after all! :)
This little printer got a work-out! Did you know you can print professional team coloring pages??? Google it... we got team logos, NBA logo, trophy and more! We used an entire color cartridge, but it was worth it!
They found an old NBA card sticker book, so we color-copied it and made a page in each book called "Old Time Mavs." Love the history!
Hard at work again! This was such a fun project. They have showed the books to everyone who comes over and they ohhh and ahhh for the boys, which thrills them. They are proud of their first books and we are too!
Jason was out of town over these few scrapbooking days, so the boys were SUPER excited to show them their books. He was just a little proud too!!! :)
