When the boys were 16 months old, we rode the Polar Express in Grapevine and they really don't remember anything about it, so we wanted to do it again. The day after Thanksgiving we rode the train again with Evan, Uncle Justin, Grandma and Grandpa. Grapevine declares itself the Christmas Capital of Texas and we LOVED being there! Maybe next year we can spend more time exploring all the shops, parks and adventures of Grapevine. This old fire truck was out and the boys ran straight to it!

In the general store, we got to visit with Santa! Rylan told Santa he wanted an Aaron Rodgers jersey and a toy gun. Jacob requested Emmit Smith and Troy Aikman jersey with a helme and pads.

We still had more time before our ride, so we went to get frozen yogurt. The floor was too cute not to document!!! Rylan had yellow cake batter and Jacob had snickerdoodle. They were both delicious!

The three big cousins waiting for the train! Austin stayed home this evening. We missed him, but totally understand!

Mark and Martha with the grandkids!

At 7:30 we went into the staging tent. The conductor and two friends led the audience in lots of songs and (corny) jokes.

As we left the tent we walked through a twisting path of Christmas trees. Rylan LOVED the flying snow! I love the look on his face! He squealed and tried to catch every flying flake.

After singing in the staging tent, we finally got on the train! Trevor was our host. He led us in several songs and even got some balloons flying at one point! Here we all are on the train...

Then the moment we had all been waiting for... Santa! The kids were so excited and could hardly handle themselves!

Santa was so nice to talk to each child and pose for a photo. He also gave each child a silver bell necklace. This was AWESOME!!!

Overall it was a wonderful night! Fun songs, good food and Santa on a train. If you are 5, life doesn't get much better!
