A Delightful Visit

We spent Thanksgiving in DFW and on our way up we stopped by for a visit with one of our favorite people in the whole world - Evelyn! Evelyn was my great-aunt's BFF and is practically family. She will be 103 next week. Visiting with Evelyn is the most uplifting and encouraging experience! As a child, she would always save me 1976 quarters since I was born in 1976. Then when we would see each other, she would have several dollars worth of quarters for me. These days, her gifts are more spiritual. The Word of God is constantly on her lips. She is still preaching the Word in the nursing home and has several "projects" in the works. One of her recent projects was getting Bibles translated and sent into Eastern Europe. She also bought some macadamian nut trees in an agreement that all of the proceeds would go to evangelizing the local community. She is a ray of Light and a beautiful child of God. The boys love seeing her and I love her words of wisdom. Thank you God for dear wise women like Evelyn!
