We've had so much fun this summer! This is a hodge podge of some fun summer days. We all were so excited about Cars 2. The boys love Cars and we had been counting down to the premiere. Overall it was a hit! The boys did not like the storyline as much as Cars 1, but still thought it was funny and a good movie. They did wish there would have been more about McQueen. Jason and I both thought it was funny and not too inappropriate.
One afternoon we drew a slip out if the "basket of fun." It was tracing... so we picked some free color sheets online and then used my old light box to trace. Rylan picked a Simba picture and Jacob picked a Captain Hook picture. Jacob really liked this activity. Rylan was not too impressed. Oh well, you win some, you lose some!
Another day we drew the slip to bake cookies... the boys helped cut the butter with their own knives. It dawned on my that they may need to work on their age appropriate knife skills, so we have been!
And here is one of the dozens of lego forts that have been created this summer!
