Trading Cards!

In the fall, I took the boys to Dollar Tree to pick out some prizes for their god behavior charts. They each picked a few packs of trading cards and added them to the basket. As the good behaviors piled up and rewards were earned, an obsession was born! My boys love trading cards! Football, basketball and baseball!!!

Well, our preacher is a LONG time collector. We were up at the church building one morning and he gave the boys a tour of his collection in his office. They were in awe! He inherited two big boxes of cards a few days later and they were duplicates and "not that valuable" in the card market, so he passes them on to Rylan and Jacob. Most of the football and baseball cards are from the late 1980's and early 1990's, so they are people that Jason and I both remember. They have spent countless hours sorting, organizing and trading their new treasures.
Some of Rylan's favorite finds... Brett Farve, Peyton Manning, Nolan Ryan, Reggie White and all Packers.
Some of Jacob's favorites... Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, John Elway, the Houston Oiler cards, the Browns cards, Red Sox cards and Saints too!
What one man deems as trash is certainly anothers treasure!!!
