Happy New Year - sort of

This year has gotten off to a rocky start. Since this blog is mostly for me to remember life, then I want to document a little of the craziness that is 2012. On December 22, Popa had a stroke-like episode that turned out to be high blood pressure. He was in the hospital for 2 days. Christmas was perfectly wonderful at home. Then we went to DFW the 28th-31st. It was loads of fun too. We had black-eyed peas and cornbread on New Year's Day. Then January 2nd, Granny went into the hospital with heart issues. The valve that pumps the blood back out of her heart is severely damaged. She came home on Thursday night. Saturday morning she was re-admitted for breathing/coughing issues. Today (Monday) she is still in the hospital and we don't know for how long. Mom and Dad are beyond exhausted, drained, worn out and overwhelmed. Being a care-giver is so hard. So many of our dear friends are offering words of encouragement to us all, and we appreciate it so much. Please be prayerful for all of us, but especially Mom and Dad as they bear most of the responsibility and decisions.
