These boys love our country! When we go to the library we stock up on non-fiction books from the 900's. We love to read biographies - especially about American Revolution and Civil War heroes like George Washington, Ben Franklin, John Adams, Paul Revere, Sam Adams, Abe Lincoln, Robert E Lee and more. We love to get battle books about the Revolution and Civil War. I've learned so much reading the books to them! On 9/11 we made a flag craft and wore our flag shirts after worship services. They also helped put up our flag out front. Jacob asked if we could keep it out longer than one day...and of course we did.
One of their favorite things to learn about our country is Popa's WW2 stories. He was a pilot and has lots of interesting stories. He even got to visit Egypt with a dignitary, which the boys think is too cool. They love his bomber jacket and dress uniform. We are so blessed to get to hear all his stories.
I'm so glad that Rylan and Jacob love America...land of the free and home of the brave. May God always bless the USA!

Isn't it amazing how boys love battles? It is inborn, I believe. And we should be thankful for that. Otherwise how could we defend the country and people we love? Your boys are so interesting!
