More candy heart fun!

This was SO much fun! When I bought the candy hearts, it was a HUGE bag, so we've been doing more and more craft-y things with them! Today we worked on capital letter recognition and matching. To prepare, I typed an alphabet and printed it on cover stock. Then on the back of the hearts, I wrote one letter of the alphabet.

The kids each made their own poster. First they picked a heart from their baggie. Then they named it, found it on the poster and glued it on top of that letter.

They both did really good and had so much fun. For every 5 letters they glued, they ate one clean heart. I think we may do this again with lowercase letters..or numbers...or match capital and lowercase. The possibilities are endless!
