Bug Hunting...

One of the things we pulled out of our "Basket of Summer Fun," was "collect bugs." This was fun!!! Considering we are in a drought, there were not many bugs to find. And we did not have cute-sy bug boxes, so we used mason jars! The boys looks low and lower in our neighbors flower bed for roly polies, but did not find any...Jacob declared, "I will NOT pick up any ants ever!!!" But he did find 3 snail shells.
This cute boy decided since the bugs were few, he would find other nature things. He added a feather, some rocks and a few leaves to his jar.
We'll keep searching! :)

Mason jars are the best for bug catching...they are great for lightning bugs too. :) That's what we used.

Looks like fun at the Smith's!

LOve ya!

You need to bring those boys up to Dallas...we have lots of bugs!!

Caleb's camp counselor took the boys out the last night of camp to catch grasshoppers, so he made it home with three new pets...until Momma made him let them loose in the backyard.
