In November, Pat asked me about helping to plan VBS. I was hesitant at first, but after some prayer and lots of discussion with Jason, I decided to help Pat plan our first VBS in 3 years. We soon recruited Deena and then we fun/madness began!!! Our theme was "The Lord is my Shepherd" and the team created all the lessons, skits, puppet shows and we figured out how in the world to "do" a VBS. It has been a TON of work and the big week was finally here!!! June 2 was our big work day and here are some of my dear brothers and sisters getting ready for VBS!
Natalie did a great job getting all the guides and creating these binders. The binders were an awesome tool!!!

Heather and Kara taught the toddlers. They worked SO hard getting ready and during the week!
Some little darlings were there with their parents and they helped color and cut out clouds and flowers for some of the bulletin boards. They were good helpers!
Erica was the Decorator mastermind! She ROCKS!!!
The laminator died and 5 adults performed laminator surgery for over 2 hours... grrrrrr!
The Verse crew did a great job gluing the cricut letters onto the paper. The finished display was breathtaking!!!

Our other partner in crime... Deena! It has been a JOY to work with Pat and Deena! We were all on the same page and had a blast working together!
Grandma Nonnie's class was awesome!!! Oe of our elder's wives made Grandma's house and the kids ADORED her and her class!!!
Angie was another decorating fool! She was doing a wonderful job getting the building ready for VBS!
Our preacher stuffed 124 bags for the Open House we had on Thursday night. He is such a good man! They had fliers about Bible Power Zone, Family Reading Club,a church pen and magnet.
All the shirts... labeled with names and sizes and organized by family units! It made the distribution on Sunday morning SO easy!
So now the building is ready... the lessons are written... the skits rehearsed... almost 100 kids registered... MANY prayers lifted... Now it's time to teach the kids!!!
